Visual Merchandising Spring 2021 Planning

by | Feb 27, 2021

It’s great news to hear that my client’s now have a date for when they can reopen following on from our current third lockdown in the UK.

This month I have been working on new Spring window designs for forthcoming window installations in March. In preparation for these projects I have been catching up on new season and consumer trends which I feel will have such a great impact on what we will install from a VM perspective. I highly recommend Trend Forecasting site, WGSN – their blog posts are great reads which will give you lots of inspiration for consumer trends. They detailed last year about the importance of using more mindful, pastel colours to create a more calmful experience for our customers.

I feel that using colours within Visual Merchandising and Window Displays which can help soothe anxiety and influence our mental wellbeing will be key post Covid-19.Consider using colours which promote calm, peace, strength and joy as well as those which are linked to nature and our natural world. Using soft pastel colour shades like ; Pale Pink, Sky Blue, Pistachio Green and Lavender all display these mood educing qualities which will really engage the customer.

I am working with these colour ideas to create more mindful Spring displays with lots of natural textures, which I hope to share with you via my blog next month…..
